INVITED-TRIAL GUIDE · UPDATED 19 October 2026
How SmartFACT Automation works
From a written requirement to a tested, approved rule that each SmartFACT product applies and can explain.
This guide describes the trial scope. Access and the workflow supported for your site are agreed before the trial starts.
Start from the product or from Automation
Choose Edit automation in a product to work on one of its decisions, or start in Automation with a requirement that may touch several products. The product, site and draft you are working on stay visible throughout, and you return to the product when you finish.
Describe and plan
Write the requirement in your own words or use the structured route. Automation shows which products and decisions it would affect, and whether each part is supported, needs configuration, is missing data or is not something the products can do. Unanswered questions stay open until your team answers them.
Draft and check
Each proposed rule appears with a plain restatement generated from the rule itself, so you can see what it will actually do. Save working proposals as you go; nothing becomes a product draft until you apply it.
Test
Run the agreed acceptance cases, the regression cases from the approved release and any suggested cases you have given an expected result. Compare the change on the same inputs to see what would be newly allowed, newly blocked or routed differently. Tests never print, book, reserve or send anything.
Review and release
The reviewer sees the purpose, the exact change, the complete release, the test evidence and who contributed. Approval needs a fresh sign-in. Each product then adopts the approved release under its own checks and confirms it is running it.
Explain and improve
From a held job or any recorded decision, open the rule version and the facts known at the time. Start an improvement from that decision, and it goes through the same tests and review.
