See what the change does before review
The current and proposed rules run over the same inputs, and the difference is summarised as unchanged, newly allowed, newly blocked and routed differently, with each case available to inspect.
Review the whole release, not just the edit
Products release complete units, such as a whole kit configuration or a whole procedure. The review shows the change and every unchanged part included in the release, so a small edit cannot hide a wider publication.
Work already started keeps its release
A unit or order that began under the previous release finishes under it, following each product’s own rules for work in progress. New work picks up the new release once the product confirms it.
Rolling back
A rollback is a new reviewed release of the earlier version. It does not undo anything already done on the floor, such as a printed label or a completed check.
When someone changed the draft first
If the product draft changed while you were working, Automation shows both versions and keeps your work as a separate draft. It never overwrites another person’s edit.
What SmartFACT Automation does not do
- Put a change live without review.
- Roll back physical actions already performed.
Common questions
What happens to jobs already in progress?
They keep the release they started with. New jobs use the new release once the product confirms it.
Can a change go live without review?
No. Submission needs a complete passing test set and approval needs a reviewer with a fresh sign-in.
